QI Chuanjun, an assistance research fellow in the Institute of Latin American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). QI got his master’s degree in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2005, and Ph.D. in Graduate School (GS) of CASS in 2009.
Basing his research on “market failures” in the field of economics, QI focuses on choice of public policy and intervening of “public goods” such as social security where market mechanism may not function, specifically, he majors in economics and comparative and theoretical study of social security systems and has published more than 10 papers about social security in academic journals in recent years.
QI is also interested in search on economic growth and democratization process in development countries. For example, QI finished the working paper “Chile: To Run Out of Middle Income Trap as the First in South America Since the Return to Democracy” in collaboration with Professor Zheng Bingwen recently.
