Party Secretary of the ILAS, CASS; Senior Research Fellow


He is the Party Secretary of the Institute of Latin American Studies of the CASS; Senior Research Fellow (Level 2); Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; and Expert with Special Government Allowance of the State Council. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the New Era Party Building Research Center and the Deputy Director of the World Socialism Research Center of the CASS. He was once Deputy Director of the Center for Scientific Research and Development in Higher Education Institutes under the Ministry of Education; Party Secretary and Vice-President of the Academy of Marxism of the CASS; and the Party Secretary of the Institute of Political Science of the CASS.


His research focuses primarily on Marxism and the theory of Sinicization of Marxism, as well as hot topics in the field of ideological theory and major practical issues. His major research results include: hundreds of research reports; dozens of articles published in newspapers and academic journals such as Qiushi, People's Daily, Economic Daily, Studies on Marxism, Theoretical Front In Higher Education, Leading Journal of Ideological & Theoretical Education, Red Flag Manuscript, Theory and Criticism of Literature and Art, Qianxian Monthly, People's Forum, Chinese Social Sciences Today, and so on; monographs such as Research on the Basic Economic System of the Primary Stage of Socialism in China (2016), A study of Ideology in the Evolution of the Soviet Union (co-authored, 2004), New Developments and Insights from Quanzhou's Practice of the Jinjiang Experience(co-authored, 2018). He was also editor-in-chief of Yearbook of Marxist Theory Research and Discipline Construction (Volume 2012-2020), Deepening the Understanding of Labor and Labor Value Theory (2001), Some Issues in the Process of Deepening the Understanding of Labor Value Theory (2002), and Labor  Value  Distribution (2003).
