He is Deputy Director of the Economic Research Department at the Institute of Latin American Studies(ILAS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS), and Associate Research Fellow.

He also serves as Deputy Secretary of Chinese Association for Latin American Studies. His main research interests include development economics and world economics. From 2015 to 2018, he worked at the Postdoctoral Research Station in Theoretical Economics, Institute of Latin American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Currently, his research focuses on mutual learning between China and Latin America, one Belt and one Road cooperation between China and Latin America, and sustainable economic development.
