Liu JixinInvestigadores Jubilados

  Professor and the chief of the Division of Society and Culture, Institute of Latin American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). She has been working in the institute since 1986.

Liu Jixin got her bachelor’s degree in the Second Campus, Renmin University of China  in 1983, and master’s degree in Renmin University of China in 1986. Being a visiting scholar, Liu Jixin did research work at the Center for Latin America, the University of Pittsburgh during January, 1998--January, 1999.

Liu Jixin`s research fields focus on the social issues, social security and social policies in Latin America.  In addition, she is also interested in some political issues, such as corruption and political democracy.

In addition to articles and papers on the above-mentioned research fields, Liu Jixin has authored one book: Reforms of Pension Systems in Latin America( China Labour and Social Security Publishing House, 2004), and co-authored  several books, including Economic Reforms in Latin America (Economic Management Press, 1998), Choices for Modernization Strategy and International Relationship(Social Science Academic Press(China),2000), Analysis of Welfare States: An Comparative Study Based on Europe(Economic Management Press,2002), and Imperialist Hegemony and Latin America(World Affaires Press, 2002).
